General Equipment Information
Football Equipment
Equipment will be passed out prior to the beginning of the first day of practice. Each participant will be supplied with one (1) set of equipment/uniform which they will responsible to bring to all practices and games. Football players will receive the following equipment:
1 – game jersey with name printed on back (to be kept by the participant)
1 – helmet and pads with chin strap
1 – pair of practice pants
1 – pair of game pants
1 – belt for pants
1 – set of knee pads
1 – shoulder pads
1 – rib pads
1 – mouthpiece
Parents must provide the following equipment:

Shoes – generally plastic molded cleats. No steel cleats, but screw-ins are allowed (tennis shoes can be worn but are not recommended)

Socks

Athletic supporter with cup

Additional padding for arms, neck, hand as the parent and/or player desire

Water bottle for practice

Additional mouthpiece(s), if needed (these can be purchased from the trailer for $1.00 per mouthpiece)
Football players are to wear their current season’s game jersey on game days only. Check all pads, supporter, and mouthpiece for proper fit. Parents are encouraged to check the fit of equipment to ensure safe participation in games and practices. Please try to keep equipment clean for game days and practices.
The football equipment trailer will be open at the practice field for repairs to equipment. No equipment will be loaned out if a participant forgets their equipment. Failure to do so will result in not being able to practice or not being permitted to play in the game. Borrowing from other participants is not permitted. If a participant loses any equipment/uniform they must reimburse OYTF before a new item will be issued. All equipment and/or uniforms must be returned by required turn in dates designated by Equipment Manager and/or Commissioners.

Cheer Uniforms
The commissioners will pass out uniforms prior to the first game. Each cheerleader will receive a uniform that consists of a shell and skirt. In addition to the uniform, each cheerleader will receive the following items as part of the cheer package:
Parents are reuired to purchase a clear rain poncho and white tennis/cheer shoes to be worn for game days.
