The Oswego Youth Tackle Football and Cheerleading organization (OYTF) was founded in 1980.  The organization goes by Oswego Panthers and has 3 sets of teams (Blue, White, and Orange) at 4 levels of play (Superlight, Lightweight, Junior Varsity, and Varsity).

The organization provides youth football and cheerleading activities for over 600 area boys and girls between the ages 6 through 14.

The OYTF Panthers is a non-profit organization with a mission of promoting fairplay, self-confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork in its participants.

OYTF is a member of the River Valley League consisting of 8 organizations and 15 teams. The River Valley Leagues’ governing body of which each organization has one vote sets the rules for registration and game days. IHSA rules are followed with exceptions developed through the years to maintain safety, equality and a learning environment. A Board of Directors, who channels their efforts to support the youth of Oswego School District 308, governs OYTF.
